The Turnaround

The man behind the mask

Conceals great emotion

Sharing his thoughts is a task

Petrified of the notion

Putting trust into another

The ultimate cardinal sin

A human being unable to discover

With a patience wearing thin

But he is just an immature child

For feeling alone he makes excuses

He has a mind that’s running wild

Unjustified for those he abuses

The turnaround is only apparent

When he wants the change

The issues all become transparent

And the world it seems so strange

We all know addiction is hard to lose

To see it you don’t need a clairvoyant

But if it’s a new found life you choose

Everything will seem more buoyant
