The Light

The deprivation was not a rendition

Of what I thought I had become

It was in fact emotional commission

Of a child becoming one

The one who grew from the pain of the past

Was a man discovering himself

The time alone was violent contrast

A life as it sat on the shelf

Was it really lying dormant

Or did the subliminal message creep through

Life just became much more constant

This light provides a new view

Its amazing how one relatively unknown

Can make you realize the simplicity

You can find that feeling so close to home

It re ignites the electricity

So clearly it becomes apparent to me

No issue is ever that great

As the answer that will set you free

Quite promptly lies in your fate

Another chapter has been created

The grass is greener than ever

All the bother is now abated

Building upon new endeavour

The light it brings into my life

Is something that reverberates

Through my body like a knife

The feeling just regurgitates

Again and again the passion grows

In such a short frame of time

How it happened, no one knows.

But why question that which is fine?

This light will grow, from what I see

Into something I haven’t felt

I am sure, apparent it will be

Something positive I have been dealt
